Witch Pix COVID Policies & Procedures

We are committed to making your experience at Witch Pix both fun and safe, and to do that we are implementing the following guidelines to keep our patrons and our staff safe.

RESERVATIONS & BOOKINGS

We do not require bookings, but

  • Witch Pix is working at a limited capacity to follow City of Salem regulations. If you want to be guaranteed a photoshoot experience, we do highly recommend booking in advance, especially on busy weekends.

    • If you would like to have a walk-in appointment, we may have to ask you to wait for an available time.

      • We are limited in the amount of people who can stand in line and the length of time they can wait there (5 people in line, for 15 minutes) because of this we do encourage booking in advanced.

  • Weekends are expected to be busy.  As necessary, we will be making appointments at our door, if you do not previously have an appointment.  So we encourage you to book in advance and secure your preferred Photo set and timeslot.

  • Appointments are prepaid and confirmed for specific start times.  Digital confirmations and receipts are automatically generated.  We operate with a 24 hour cancel policy, so day of purchases are non refundable.  If you are not on time for your appointment, we will do the best to accommodate your party during a different time slot.  Please know if may be multiple hours later.

  • Parties over 6 are considered large in our operation, so we ask for your patience with the increased Covid related restrictions and safety protocols to keep your family and our staff safe.  Timeslots are limited, so please consider breaking your party into smaller groups.  Parties of 10-13 require a Private appointment.   There are limited time slots offered at opening and closing hours each weekend day.  Mid day options can be arranged during the week. No parties over 13 are possible.

We are abiding by the safety protocols and capacity guidelines set by the State of Massachusetts & the City of Salem.

  • We sanitize every costume piece that has been worn or touched before another patron can wear that costume again. This includes viral killing fabric spray and 212 degree steaming.

    • We also sanitize props and equipment after every use with liquid sanitizer and UVC lamps.

  • Our staff always wear masks.  We ask you to do the same.

  • We do not have a restroom.

    • The closest public restrooms are at the visitor center, just down the street from our studio.

What your experience for your photoshoot will look like in the new normal:

  • Upon your arrival a staff member will take the temperature of all-party members. Entry will be denied for customers with temperatures at or over  99.6 degrees.

  • Contact Tracing information will be gathered to include name, phone and email.  Reservations include this data.

  • Witch Pix is in a Mask Required Zone of Downtown Salem. You are required to wear a mask over your mouth and nose while indoors and outdoors.  At Witch Pix, you must wear a mask to enter, and your mask will only be removed for the duration of the photoshoot.

    • Face shields with no mask is not an acceptable form of face covering

    • Massachusetts mandates masks for everyone over the age of 2

  • We are abiding by capacity guidelines set by officials.  Accordingly, we will provide explicit directions to move people through our facility to separate parties as much as feasible.

  • We provide hand sanitizer to all patrons upon entry and offer hand sanitizer around the studio.

  • A staff member will show you your photos at a viewing station from behind a plexiglass screen.

    • We have 3 viewing areas.  Parties are asked to limit their viewing to 2-3 people during peak visitation.

    • We offer emailed digital portrait galleries to minimize time and contact points
