Accessibility at Witch Pix

On-Site Accessibility

Massachusetts state law requires all new construction to adhere to ADA requirements. Because we are located in an old building (like many of Salem's favorites), we are unable to meet all of those requirements; however, we are committed to making our space as accessible as possible for our visitors.

Here are some features to note when planning your visit:

  • There is one step to enter our front door

  • Our wood floors are 100 years old, and uneven in some places

  • Our rooms are small, and our hallways are narrow

    • Some wheelchairs may not be able to navigate these spaces​

  • The Enchanted Wardrobe (costume selection), The Herbal Hearth photo set, and The Spellbook Gallery (where your photos are revealed) are all on the first floor

  • The Crystal Vanity and The Velvet Parlor are located upstairs, which requires the use of a curved, narrow staircase with 13 steps

  • Safety railings have been installed in the staircase

  • Appropriate lighting has been installed throughout the house

  • There are limited handicapped parking spots available on-site; please see Salem's parking resources for more parking information

Online Accessibility

WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Standards) provide a minimum set of requirements for websites, and Witch Pix is committed to providing an accessible user experience. Some of the most common accessibility features are listed below.

Fonts and Spacing

  • The minimum font size used on our site is size 16

  • All of our brand fonts are easily readable

  • Letter and line spacing are neither too wide nor too narrow

  • More than 3 lines of text are left-aligned

    • An exception may occur on mobile displays​

  • Color combinations on this site meet WCAG standards

    • 18 WCAG AAA (Normal) combinations​
